With summer in full swing many have plans for vacation, reunions or some other fun thing. Me? I am interning for the summer. Sound fun to you? I am actually thrilled about it because I am interning with 5 Minutes for Mom and getting advanced training in all things bloggy {social media, coding, etc.}! I am super excited to be a part of this pilot internship program and working with great bloggers under the watch of a successful veteran blogger.

A Funny Coincidence

I feel a little bit like Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are stalking my life and then making movies out of it. Think I’m just imagining it? You tell me.

In the summer of 2005, my hubby and I got married, that same summer the movie Wedding Crashers was released. Hmm….

Coincidence 2005

This summer, I will be working as an intern for a big blog and the movie The Internship is also opening this summer. Coincidence? Or stalking? I should probably file some sort of restraining order, right? Or at least ask for my share of the profits.

Introducing the Interns

There are 6 of us who have been hand-picked to take part in this internship. It’s another humbling accomplishment for me to make the cut. Together we will gain skills that we can add to a resume and take to job interviews, our own blogs and advance our own teams. Here is the official announcement from 5 Minutes for Mom.

How interning affects Gifts We Use

For my friends here {that’s you}, nothing changes. I will get the opportunity to contribute to 5 Minutes for Mom, but my blogging schedule here will remain the same. The only thing that changes is now I have a giant intern stamp on my forehead.

For all that I am looking to gain from this summer internship, I will wear my intern stamp proudly.

I feel super blessed for this opportunity and know that this will only help me to serve you more effectively. With so much happening this year, my head is starting to spin. They are all good things though, so I am happy.
